How We Treat Your Kiddos
Our team at Pediatric Dental Partners offers several different treatments to give your child the smile they’re entitled to.
Regular Exams & Cleanings
Regular dental exams and cleanings are critical steps for maintaining oral health. During these visits, we will check for signs of cavities, gum disease, and other oral health issues. Professional cleanings remove plaque and tartar buildup that regular brushing and flossing can't eliminate.
Fluoride Treatment
Fluoride treatments involve the application of a fluoride gel or varnish to the teeth. Fluoride helps strengthen tooth enamel and makes it more resistant to decay.
Fillings
Fillings are used to restore teeth damaged by cavities. The decayed portion of the tooth is removed, and the cavity is filled with a durable material such as composite resin.
Extractions
Tooth extractions involve removing a tooth that is damaged, decayed, or causing crowding. It’s often a last resort when other treatments cannot save the tooth.
Sedation Dentistry
Sedation dentistry uses medication to help patients relax during dental procedures. It’s especially useful for patients with dental anxiety or those undergoing lengthy or complex treatments.
Prophy
Prophylaxis, or prophy, is a professional dental cleaning procedure that focuses on cleaning your child’s teeth to prevent periodontal disease.
It involves scaling and polishing the teeth to remove plaque, tartar, and stains.
Sealants
Dental sealants are thin, protective coatings applied to the chewing surfaces of the back teeth (molars). They act as a barrier, protecting the enamel from plaque and acids.
Crowns
Dental crowns are caps placed over damaged or decayed teeth. They restore the tooth’s shape, size, strength, and appearance.
Mouth Guards
Mouth guards are protective devices your child can wear over their teeth to prevent injury during sports or to protect teeth from grinding at night (bruxism).
Hospital Dentistry
Hospital dentistry involves providing dental care in a hospital setting, often under general anesthesia.
This is typically for patients with special needs, severe dental anxiety, or complex medical conditions that require a controlled environment.
